Double-Action Custom Hydraulic Cylinder

This custom hydraulic cylinder is powered in both extend and retract. A double-acting cylinder has been used in various applications where a load needs to be lifted, which means the cylinder is powered in extend. In addition, there may be a load “pulling” on the cylinder after it has been extended, which means the cylinder needs to be powered in retract. This type of custom hydraulic cylinder has been used to extend and retract an outrigger to stabilize an aerial fire apparatus or other piece of mobile equipment. (Ref. 700-55750)
